Winter Engagement Session

I’ve been meaning to post this engagement for quite some time now and today seems like the perfect day because it is their Wedding weekend!!

I met up with a childhood friend Karynn and her soon-to-be husband Justin they asked me to photograph their engagement when I was home for a visit and I am so happy I did. Karynn and I have been friends since middle school, so it was really special being able to capture their love.

These two met me after a long day of work for a chilly winter boardwalk stroll, the sun was just starting to set giving us an hour of beautiful light. If you have the choice to plan your photo session around the best light of the day, DO it, it makes a world of difference for your photos. That is why I always suggest meeting my clients earlier or later in the day for their photo sessions.

After an hour or so of walking around, we ended up venturing onto the frozen pond and playing in the cattails. I’m always up for adventuring during our session so if you have any ideas throw them my way, and If you are shy in front of the camera, don’t worry, I will most likely slip on the ice and make a fool of myself for you!
